Author of the Windrusher Adventures
There’s exciting news for all of you Windrusher fans. Soon you’ll be able to listen to Windrusher’s adventures because it’s being made into an audiobook for Audible.com, the world’s largest retailer of audiobooks. Windrusher will be voiced by Kenny James, known primarily for his vocal performance as Nintendo’s “Bowser” character in the Mario Game series. I listened to Kenny’s audition and he was amazing. And the great thing is that Kenny is a cat person. Watch for more news about the release date for the Audible.com audiobook.
The newly-revised Windrusher is still available as a trade paperback, as well as a Kindle ebook. You can order the paperback from Amazon.com, or click here to order the Kindle ebook. Also I’m very close to adding a revised Windrusher and the Cave of Tho-hoth Kindle book to Amazon’s shelves.
For the past seven years, I’ve taught a full day workshop titled “Novel in a Day.” Many people suggested that I should put these craft lessons into booklet form to make the information more widely available. I’ve finally decided to to do just that, and a series of “Crafty Writer’s Guides” are in the works. The first two are now available from Amazon.com as Kindle ebooks for only $1.99 each. Here’s the link to the first one, The Crafty Writer’s Guide to Strong Beginnings, Effective Middles, & Exciting Endings. The second booklet is titled, The Crafty Writer’s Guide to Writing Compelling Scenes — Then Revising Them, and available here..
The first in the Quint Mitchell Mystery Series, written under the pen name Parker Francis, is not only available as a Kindle download and trade paperback, but now you can listen to it. Audible.com has added Matanzas Bay to it’s long list of audiobooks, and you can find it here. Mike Dennis narrated the book, and did a wonderful job capturing the tone of the story, and Quint’s characterization. Mike is a Key West mystery writer, with an interesting background. Read more about him at his website.
The second Quint Mitchell Mystery, Bring Down the Furies, is also available. Visit the Parker Francis website to keep up with all the latest Quint Mitchell adventures, including the Quint short story, Blue Crabs at Midnight and the short story collection, Ghostly Whispers, Secret Voices. There’s also a new Quint Mitchell Mystery coming soon. Hurricane Island takes Quint to Florida’s Cedar Key where he finds himself in deep waters and more trouble than he can handle.
Windrusher and the Trail of Fire
“Windrusher and the Trail of Fire cracks along at the speed of a bullet.”
— Lee Killough, author of The Leopard’s Daughter
Caught in a web of danger and deceit, Windrusher is abducted and imprisoned with three other celebrity cats thousands of miles from home. While his family and a private investigator search for him, Windrusher must overcome his deepest fears to save his own life and those who love him.
Windrusher — The Legend Began Here!
“Touching, mystical, completely engrossing. Put this on your bookshelf next to Call of the Wild and Black Beauty. Windrusher’s great adventure belongs with the animal classics.”
— Linda Stewart, Author of the Sam the Cat Mystery series
